Being Chased Down After an Accident?

Today, I heard about a New Jersey bill that was enacted regarding something I never realized was an issue! In short, the bill prevents lawyers, chiropractors, doctors and other healthcare professionals from contacting people who have been the victim of an accident until 30 days have elapsed.

The reason for such a bill, apparently, is because some attorneys and medical professionals track down people who have been in accidents in order to try to make a few extra bucks by getting to them before they seek out help. These "professionals" send out brochures and other mail (they are already barred from making unsolicited calls) as soon as they can. Of course, this measure doesn't apply if the person who has been in the accident contacts the lawyer or medical professional.

At the Law Firm of Martin & Wallentine, we want you to know that we are here to help if you have been injured in an accident. However, we are not going to chase you down and harrass you at home if we find out you have been. So please, if you or someone you know has been injured in an accident, let us see if we can help you collect the damages you deserve, without the hassle.

Also, if you were hospitalized and a blood test was administered to you, which led to a DUI, you should consult an epxerienced DUI lawyer right away to discuss this blood test.
