Personal injuries can include anything from a medical incident (medical malpractice) to a car accident, and even accidents where a person may have tripped on something.

The goal of such lawsuits are often to provide for the medical costs of the accident itself, as well as any compensation from work that they may have missed out on, and pain and suffering compensation, based on the emotional and physical pain the event or accident caused.
